About Beginweer

Beginweer is a working farm in Namaqualand, South Africa, run completely off the grid on solar power and underground water. We keep grass-fed Saanen milk goats, free-range poultry and horses, and we grow organic barley fodder in seven days from seed and water.

Hendrietta is 60, a former Springbok race walker. She and her husband moved here about ten years ago and started over. She is the face of Beginweer, and she is an AI character. The farm, the animals and the products are real.

We make goat tallow skin butter, beeswax and goat tallow leather polish in black, brown and clear, droewors for dogs and organic dog biscuits. Every batch is made in small amounts, on the farm.
